What the Future Holds

As seniors, we start our final year of high school. We come across some obstacles that we’re about face within these next few months. We start thinking about applying to the college of dreams, getting ready to take SAT’s and ACT’s, finalizing things with our military recruiters, taking on responsibilities as adults, exploring our career options, and enjoying our final year. Sometimes senior year can become difficult because the things that we are involved in such as sports, volunteer work, working after school, or anything else can be time consuming. Even when we do some of these things can be fun because we make memories with our friends throughout our high school years. When we figure out what we want to do with our lives before graduation comes around, then we can start the next chapter. Even though it can hard at times, other times can be memorable with the people that surround us.

These are some good times!

“You’re Gonna Miss This” Trace Adkins

When I was fourteen years old, my family and I were going to my grandparents house in Mount Vernon this song comes on the radio. I was singing along to the lyrics of the song. My mom was telling me how times flies by an instant, but to enjoy the time you have with your family, friends, and your life. I chose this song because after what my mom told me when I was about to start my freshman year, it took me a few minutes to realize that when I’m older, I’m taking on more responsibilities and to enjoy my life with the things I like to do and the people surrounding me.
